A Reason to Read Software Engineering Notes
From Hacking with Love:
I am a “hacker,” and I use the term deliberately. I try not to glamorize what I do beyond what it really is. I try not to deceive myself or anyone else about what I can do. I don’t write code by rote application of rules or processes or architecture or passion. I do what feels right, work hard and respond as best I can. And, every strong SE I’ve ever met does this, too.
Of course an expert in his or her chosen field has a lot of experience and knowledge, so he or she will likely have lots of good reasons for why something feels right. Software Engineering? Hacking? Does there need to be a boundary? Different approaches for different needs?
